Ours is a family based (father and son) ophthalmology practice which has served the west side of Chicago and near western
suburbs for 50 years. Our practice specializes in surgery and diseases of the eye. We perform the following procedures:
- no-stitch,
topical cataract surgery
- glaucoma and diabetic laser surgeries
- pterygium surgery
- lid lesion removal
surgery
- eyelid surgery
- and other eye surgeries.
Our services include full ophthalmological
exams. Your general eye examination will include evaluation of your eyes for:
- cataracts
- glaucoma
- retinal
disease
- macular degeneration
- corneal disease
- systemic disease such as diabetes and hypertension in
the eye
- nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism
- emergent eye conditions, such as red, painful, itchy
or watery eyes or sudden onset of decreased vision or flashes and floaters.
We examine and treat patients
of all ages and we prescribe and fit glasses and contact lenses. Dr. James McCarthy and Dr. Timothy McCarthy are both
board certified ophthalmologists who offer high quality general ophthalmological care.
We have two offices to
serve your needs. Our main office is located in Oak Park and our satellite office is located in Elmhurst at the Elmhurst
Memorial Center for Health. Your time is valuable, so we strive to keep your wait time to a minimum. We pride
ourselves on being available to answer your questions promptly by phone or in person. Your individual needs and concerns
are our foremost priority.
