We are a family based (father and son) ophthalmology practice which has served the west side of Chicago and near western suburbs for over 50 years. Our practice specializes in surgery and diseases of the eye. We perform the following procedures:

Our services include full ophthalmological exams. Your general eye examination will include evaluation of your eyes for:

cataracts

glaucoma

retinal disease

macular degeneration

corneal disease

systemic disease such as diabetes and hypertension in the eye

nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism

emergent eye conditions, such as red, painful, itchy or watery eyes or sudden onset of decreased vision or flashes and floaters.

We examine and treat patients of all ages and we prescribe and fit glasses and contact lenses. Dr. James McCarthy and Dr. Timothy McCarthy are both board certified ophthalmologists who offer high quality general ophthalmological care.
